Postdoctoral Opportunity in Vegetation Modeling

I am excited to announce a postdoctoral research opportunity at Qatar University, working directly with me! I am seeking talented researchers with expertise in R and C++, specializing in vegetation modeling using both correlative and mechanistic approaches.

Applicants should have a strong background in environmental science or plant ecology and a proven track record of publishing in Q1-ranked journals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct vegetation modeling using advanced correlative and mechanistic methods.
• Collect plant trait data for hundreds of species to support joint species distribution modeling.
• Develop an online, user-friendly platform to showcase results and interactive maps with filter options.
• Translate model outputs into field-based plantation planning and implementation.
